MENA Newswire News Desk: Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) and UAE-based developer Azizi Developments have signed a 50-year land lease agreement to construct 12 advanced factories in KEZAD Al Ma’mourah. The AED1 billion project will meet the growing demand for housing materials across the region. The facilities, which will span approximately 220,000 square meters, will include a steel cut-and-bend facility, timber joinery and duct fabrication workshops, a modular construction factory, aluminum and glass production units, and an aluminum extrusion plant.

These factories will supply key building materials required for regional real estate developments. Azizi’s investment in KEZAD aligns with its commitment to modular and sustainable construction. Using materials such as aluminum to build energy-efficient homes, the initiative also supports KEZAD’s sustainability objectives, focusing on reducing the environmental impact of industrial activities.

This project will streamline the production of building materials and improve construction timelines while ensuring cost-effectiveness and eco-friendliness. The advanced infrastructure at KEZAD provides an optimal location for Azizi Developments to expand its operations and support the regional housing market.

Abdullah Al Hameli, CEO of Economic Cities & Free Zones at AD Ports Group, stated, “This project adds to our growing ecosystem of manufacturers from diverse sectors. We are pleased to welcome Azizi Developments and look forward to the contribution these factories will make to sustainable real estate development.”

Mirwais Azizi, Founder and Chairman of Azizi Developments, commented, “We are excited to establish 12 new factories in KEZAD Al Ma’mourah, an ideal hub for our building material manufacturing operations. This investment will allow us to produce high-quality materials for our construction projects, enhancing our production capabilities.”

With the region’s growing demand for housing, the construction industry faces increasing pressure to deliver faster and more sustainable solutions. Azizi Developments’ new factories will help address these challenges by offering modular construction and sustainable production methods, contributing to the real estate sector’s growth.
