    UAE’s Sheikh Abdullah and India’s Modi discuss strategic partnership in New Delhi

    Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, held a meeting today with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. The meeting marked the commencement of Sheikh Abdullah’s official visit, coinciding with the India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting and the Fourth UAE-India Strategic Dialogue.

    During the discussions, Sheikh Abdullah conveyed warm greetings from UAE leaders, including President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. Prime Minister Modi reciprocated these sentiments, expressing best wishes for the UAE’s continued growth and prosperity.

    Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the depth and strength of the bilateral relationship between the UAE and India, underscoring its historical roots and enduring significance. “Over more than 50 years, the two nations have built a unique model of privileged relations founded on trust, mutual respect, and shared interests,” he noted, adding that this partnership has grown into a comprehensive collaboration promoting sustainable development for both nations. The meeting also highlighted the importance of ongoing initiatives, including the India-UAE Joint Commission and the Strategic Dialogue, as key platforms for advancing the strategic partnership.

    Sheikh Abdullah reiterated both countries’ shared commitment to enhancing cooperation and supporting mutual developmental priorities. Discussions encompassed a broad spectrum of topics related to the UAE-India comprehensive strategic partnership, reflecting the enduring ties between the two nations. Sheikh Abdullah expressed his optimism for India’s continued progress, reaffirming the UAE’s intent to deepen collaboration across various sectors.

    Accompanying Sheikh Abdullah were several high-ranking UAE officials, including Reem Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy; Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; Khaled Mohamed Balama, Governor of the UAE Central Bank; Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs; and Dr. Abdul Nasser Al Shaali, UAE Ambassador to India.
